Sapping towards Wagner; Detail 12 Engrs. [Engineers] and 50 Infantry; Material used 75 Gabions; Lieut. [Lieutenant] Talcott went on duty at 4 P.M. and left off duty at 12 o'c Midnight. 1st. Increasing thickness of covering on Magazine at Hd. Qrs. [Headquarters] and 100 pdr. battery; 2nd. Draining approach into 3rd parallel which was completed, and made possible at Low Tide; 3rd. Covering parapet with powder barrels; 4th. Repairing embrasures of breaching batteries; 5th. Repairing damages to [Weird?] Battery.
