[Captain] Suess continued the Sap, and reports that the soil was easy to cut or work. Lieut. [Lieutenant] Wilcken relieved Capt. [Captain] Walker at 11 o'c A.M. this morning. Two of his men were slightly wounded in the Sap, by a shell from Fort Johnson; Col. [Colonel] Serrell's Marsh Bat. [Battery?] was finished today; was [????] [August 7th?]
