Transcription3rd Resolved that a line officer be appointed to proceed to Washington to further the interests of the Regiment according to the preceeding resolutions; 4th Resolved that a committee consisting of Capts [Captains] Atwood, Eaton and Neale be appointed and hereby are appointed to decide upon the proper person to be sent to Washington and also to select the officers to be sent to confer with the other Companies.; 5th Resolved that the reasonable expenses of the Mission to Washington be [depayed?] by the board of Officers and that Fifty Dollars be given in advance on [????]. The Committee made a verbal report to the effect that Captain Eaton was selected to go to Beaufort, Capt. [Captain] Neale to go to Daufuskie and Tybee, and Captain Atwood to go to Fernandina. The meeting was adjourned; Lt. [Lieutenant] Thos. [Thomas] P. Rushby, Sec [Secretary]; The above resolutions are unanimously concurred in by by nine Cos [Companies], the tenth not having been heard from; Correct Copy; T.B. Brooks Lt. [Lieutenant] Vol. [Volunteer] Engrs. [Engineers]
