TranscriptionJournal of Siege of Charleston; Friday July 10th 1863; At Sunrise began the bombardment followed in their [homes?] by an assault by the boat party which gave us possession of two thirds of Morris Isle and 11 pieces of heavy artillery; Saturday July 11th 1863; Genl. [General] [Stoney?] Briggade [Brigade] made an unsuccessful assault on Ft. [Fort] Wagner today-in the evening. Were repulsed-7th [????] hit heavily.
