Descriptive InformationAsst. Supt. Gill Calhoun presents Asst. Chief of Maintenance Bob Wiley a Commendation and Certificate, awarded by the Secretary of the Interior for his outstanding contribution to the Alaska program. Bob was a member of the Alaska Planning group, compromising personnel of diverse disciplines drawn from several agencies, formed in Feb 1973, and given the responsibility for planning and co-ordination of comprehensive field studies of Alaska land. As a result of these studies, the Secretary submitted the Congress proposals which would add more than 80 millions of acres of public land in Alaska as units of the National Park, Forest, Wildlife Refugee and Wild and Scenic Rivers Systems.Wiley, Bob, IV-P-4652, Miscellaneous - Personnel
