[Engineers] and 150 Infantry built Battery for 4 mortars and magazines being left of Bat. [Battery] O'Rorke 1-10" Siege was mounted and fought and on the 18th and [????] 2-10" Seacoasts are [added?]; Thursday July 16th; The first Obstruction about 100 yds [yards] in front of Battery Reynolds and [1st?] Parallel was put in by Lt. [Lieutenant] Maguire and [blank] Engrs. [Engineers] and 130 Infantry; 4-10" Siege Mortar Bat. [Battery] began by Capt. [Captain] Graef with 30 Engrs. [Engineers] in rear of [2nd?] Parallel called Bat. [Battery] Weed; July 15th; Lieut. [Lieutenant] Suter relieved Col. [Colonel] Serrell in charge of 1st Parallel by order of Genl. [General] Gillmore.
